In the previous post, we met You Ruiniang and Xu Wei, an AMAB couple who contracted a gay union by local custom. You Ruiniang transitioned to living as a woman after her marriage, but her DIY operation to resolve her physical dysphoria set off a chain of events that led to her husband’s death.
